Porcelain Veneers: You May Need Something Else (And That’s Okay!)

You may assume that what will work best for you to achieve a particular goal is porcelain veneers. If you’re not very educated regarding this cosmetic treatment, however, you may be overlooking the fact that you may actually need something else. While this may initially come as a bit of a disappointment, we like to remind you that satisfaction with your smile should come solely from reaching your goal! There are often multiple paths (some better than others) that you may travel and we are fond of choosing the one that’s suited to you. Consider some examples.

You Need Orthodontic Work

You might think that it’s time to come in for porcelain veneers so that you can get your smile looking straighter or to improve its uniformity. You may know that in some instances, it’s possible to rely on veneers to address minor types of these concerns. However, when you have more than tiny spaces or gently rotated teeth, you may need Invisalign to put teeth in their proper order.

You Really Just Need Whitening

You may love thinking about porcelain veneers and what they can accomplish. However, if you are already happy with your teeth but you want them to look much whiter, we may suggest teeth whitening instead. Unless there are other concerns present, whitening will solve your problem (with an improved price and convenience).

You Need A Crown

You may camouflage esthetic damage with porcelain veneers. However, if your tooth is suffering from severe cosmetic damage or very real damage that impacts your oral health, it might be a dental crown that you need (which, fortunately, will yield beautiful results!). The best way to find out is to see us.
