If your goal is to feel like you have achieved victory in your brushing, then make sure you begin by considering the time and frequency of your dental hygiene. First things first, your hygiene must take place twice daily. As for the brushing portion, this is easy. It also has to happen twice a day (morning and evening). You also need to remember to brush for two minutes each time you brush. Keep the number “2” in mind and you won’t have any problems!
Now, if you want your brushing to be its best, that means remembering that you also need to floss. Why is that, you ask? Well, we remind you that these two tasks are companions to one another. Brushing makes for more effective flossing, while flossing makes for more effective brushing. They both remove plaque and debris from your smile, picking up where the other left off, so your dental hygiene is complete.
Don’t settle for a brush you don’t like, for a brush you feel isn’t living up to your needs, etc. Instead, find one that will allow you to prove to be a victorious brusher! Make sure that you can comfortably use it, as you make your way throughout your entire smile. Choose one with soft bristles and, preferably, one that has been accepted by the American Dental Association (ADA). Of course, you also need to use each brush for no longer than four months for your best dental hygiene.
